Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Service was painfully slow and bad! Both the wait staff and waiting for the food. Despite having a few tables seated, service was terrible! It took 30 mins to get an extra order of garlic naan. The pani puri was served ice cold. There was a table that was left with dirty dishes well before we arrived and took the staff another 30 minutes to clear it after we got there. There was only two table seated at the time!! Moreover, random individuals (not kitchen or service staff) kept coming in and out of the kitchen, not sure if that was in standards?! The butter chicken was some of the best I’ve tried in a while, as was the garlic naan. The saag paneer was terribly bitter and hard to eat. The food was good but the terrible service ruined the dining experience. Shame cause this restaurant was on my β€œto try” list for months! With so many competing Indian restaurants in the area, this is a hard pass for me!

Modern Indian spot with a chill, laid-back vibe and fun fusion dishes like naan tacos and cheeseburgers. The butter chicken was the clear standout. Thick, tangy, slightly sweet, and packed with flavor, with super tender chicken. I would absolutely order it again. The gluten-free chicken wings were tasty but could have been crispier, and the lamb curry had tender meat but a less memorable sauce. Also appreciated that they offered a side of vegetables, which you do not see often. Overall, a really pleasant experience and a place I would come back to explore more of the menu.

You Must Eat Here! I eat a lot of Indian food! Incredible Experience! The atmosphere, service is great! But the food and display of food is like no other Indian food I’ve had anywhere! You Will Love this place! The photos are the β€œChicken Puffs” and the β€œAloo Tiki”

If you haven’t checked this spot out, you must! The food is insanely good. And fresh. You can tell the veggies are very fresh. The meat is so tender. The bruschetta naan is so out of this world! I’ve been here about six times and some places can be hit or miss, but the food is hands down always a hit! Consistently amazing. The owner Gubi and his wife are so sweet and you can tell Gubi puts all of his passion for food into this place. We got to talking about the neighborhood and he really wants to make sure that the locals feel welcomed and enjoy the food. And I promise you will enjoy the food. It’s still a fairly new spot so they are still working on some of the atmosphere as far as the upstairs bar goes, but the food will keep you coming back as well as the service. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam tonight and he was so nice. Gubi really has a vision for his restaurant and I can’t wait to see it all come to fruition. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed. Parking might be a bit tricky at times but if you have to park across the street and walk over I promise you won’t regret it. And his specialty cocktail creations are gorgeous and tasty! 10/10 (I did not caption the phot

A really wonderful place to take out a date, location and self-contained parking lot is a plus. The service is friendly and warm, as it feels like a truly local place with a mom and pop vibe. The upstairs is versatile and can be used for events, such as fundraisers, meetings, and or even music meet ups.
